All about Wheatley

humans_suckIn this post you'll find a decent amount of background information on this kid, and if there's anything that I've left out, feel free to comment here to ask, even anonymously if you like.
Basic info:
Name: Wheatley Lawrence Henderson
Age: 15
Sex/Gender: Male/Male
Species: Vampire
Personal History/Personality: Wheatley was born to the daughter of the oldest surviving vampire in North America. His father was born a human, and turned into a vampire at the age of 17. His father was a famously talented doctor when it came to the needs of both vampires and humans. No one has come closer to an artificial blood source than him. Wheatley was raised to understand his role amongst humans and other creatures on the earth, that he is not to be a predator, that he has the capacity to be humane. That the human parts of him that lie within him are not something he should try to suppress to place himself above humans. That he is just another sapient being, among others of many supernatural stripes, here to take care of the Earth for the future.
While that is what he was raised with, with some success, it doesn't mean he holds much affection for humanity. He couldn't help but to hear stories about his other family members being hunted down by religious zealots, and those looking for trophy fangs to prove their manhood. A young vampire is expected to mature quickly, and he became far more jaded and misanthropic than his years would have someone expect.
He has little care or patience for humans. He regards them like a human would a squirrel in a tree. Interesting to watch for a few minutes, but ultimately they are inconsequential. He does not seek to harm humans, or even really make their lives difficult in any way. He doesn't even really ignore them, either. He will respond when spoken to, or work together with humans on a task if he must, but he doesn't go out of his way to befriend humans.
This aversion may also be seated in his acute awareness that he will outlive any human he grows attached to. So it may also be out of self-preservation.
Through his life, he has spent most of his time in individual tutelage with some of his family's elder members. He's lived comfortably, in a big old house in Chicago before coming to this school. He's used to solitude and quiet, two things communal living do not provide.
He enjoys electronics, and taking things apart, and rebuilding them into something better. From the simple upgrading of a computer, to more elaborate electronics in a motor vehicle, or robotics and electronic engineering.
Powers: As a vampire, he has the conventional advanced speed, senses, and strength, but since he is still quite young and he hasn't had need to develop his defense mechanisms in a more mature way. He does, however, enjoy manipulating electric charges around him. Every vampire has something they can manipulate about their bodies that can be weaponized or used in maintaining their own lives. His is manipulating his own electric field and by extension, that of his surroundings. It's in a small scale, just in things he can touch, and then by a few feet. That too is immature, but something he enjoys exploiting while he tinkers with electronics.
Other biological aspects: He has a sensitivity to, in order of decreasing severity, the sun, silver, and garlic. The sun will burn him, rate dependent on his overall health at the time. Silver will immobilize him and burn him, and the burn will take some time to heal. Garlic is just completely offensive why would you even eat that ugh!
Further from that, he does have some predatory instinct that comes up that he can't stop. It usually varies by individual vampire, and for him it's the scent of his own blood. There can be murder and a bloodbath all around, and it never awakens an urge to kill in him. When his own blood is spilt, no matter how small in quantity, it's a fight for him to control himself and keep from lashing out.
